中國西藏自治區月中發生暴力騷亂，除了對商戶造成嚴重的財物損失外，更有無辜民眾被暴徒毆打喪命或受傷，而被襲者中以漢族佔絕大多數。從目擊暴亂的西方遊客記錄中可知，暴徒是刻意選擇漢人和他們的商店進行襲擊，但卻沒有看到軍警有使用攻擊性的武力鎖暴。其中一名外國旅客更目睹有一小隊警察的防線被衝破，暴徒在破壞警員遺留下來的防暴盾牌。誰是這場暴亂的受害人應該是一目了然的，但經由西方媒體的扭曲報道後，「元兇」反而成為受害人。
德國一家電視台已就錯誤報道致歉，但其餘西方媒體依然在沒有佐證之下，繼續稱中國軍警血腥鎮壓，個別還天天報告「藏民被殺」的最新數字。這種失實且很可能是故意的誤導，是源於對中國的一種根深柢固歧視。對於這類媒體，我們可以投訴或拒看，但嘴巴是人家的，基本上是拿他們沒有辦法。對於為了政治目的而同樣把中國妖魔化，因而導致華裔受到歧視甚至仇視的美國政客，本地華裔是可以做點事情的。
以煽動反華情緒最積極的國會眾議院議長普洛西為例，她所屬的加州第八國會選區，包括三藩市列治文區、華埠北岸區、南市場街、訪谷及帝利市北部，這些區域中亞裔選民佔三成之多，其中華裔選民的力量對普洛西的選情，具有關鍵作用。普洛西雖然貴為國會議長，是排名第三位的國家領導人，但她也只不過是第八選區的民意代表而已。居住在第八選區的選民，在今年的十一月，有權決定是否應由普洛西繼續代表他們。
美中關係存在越來越大的競爭性，美籍華人處於微妙的位置。如果任由無根據的反華情緒燃燒，把中國人都當作為嗜血殘暴的，其惡劣影響將不會局限於中國境內，海外華人也會受到負面影響。二次大戰時期，全美國的日裔被拘禁在集中營；九一一後，阿拉伯裔和貌似中東裔者，都會被懷疑是恐怖分子。華裔選民應該以選票譴責普洛西不負責任的所為。

I totally agreed with your point of view. All the western media news intensionally twisted the news to try to denounce china.
1. Never really mentioned the victims who being killed by the rioters.
2. Keep mentioning chinese army/police arrest people, and change the death toll (but they don't have any actual evidence)
3. Purposely adjusted the pictures to try to mislead the public.
4. Never provide detail/complete information regarding the damage caused by those rioters.
I strongly support the approach taken by China's government. From this incidence, we can see the true side of Dala Lama and his screw. They used violence to try to achieve their political goal (separate Tibet from China). These rioters killed people, burned houses, robbed, and etc. They are not protesters. Instead, they are terrors.
Ironically, the western politicians and western media never blamed the violence. In contrast, they purposely twisted the story by alternating the picture, not broadcast the violence actions done by those rioters, and keep on changing the death toll to try to mislead the public.
Obviously, they are supporting and encouraging these rioters to use terrorist approaches to against Chinese.
China is using the right strategy to handle this terroristic crisis by not bowing to terror. Regardless what Dala Lama and his screw wants, China should not bow to terror.
One thing I want to add on here is that its not really helpful to post express our opinion, concerns, or confusion on here. Because this won't reach to the outside society. I strongly recommend we should organize a march to tell the world how we feel about this incidence. Some may said this may escalate the misunderstanding between the Tibetan and Han Chinese. But if we do not reach out and tell the world how we feel, the world will never know the truth of the incidence, and the real face of Dala Lama, and the bias of western media. Public will continue to have bad impression on China.
Some American politicisan are just that, mis-informed, mis-leded, mis-judged. They just feel that they have to the leader of anything.
How about some foreign states come to say that the American Indian have been mis-treated for all these years, and we should let the American Indians create their own independent country in the U.S.A.?
