布殊總統的新財政年度預算將會要求增加國防開支百分之十，而其餘的政府服務預算則只增加百分之一。減去通漲百分之二點五，除國防外，政府預算實質是都壓縮了。也即是說，除了軍火商會在新預算中得益外，聯邦政府對民眾的服務將全面下降。
白宮最近才提出要為伊拉克和阿富汗戰爭增撥一千億元軍費，再加上國防開支上升一成，似乎我們的總統只愛打仗。國民辛辛苦苦所交的稅，都變成了炮灰。布殊政府在推出令富人更富的減稅方案時，說是還富於民。可是，另一方面卻把我們的稅金胡亂花費在無謂的戰爭上，並為我們的一下代累積更多的國債。布殊執政以來的禍害，已重創美國國力，但又似乎沒有人可以阻止他。不得不問：民主政制的優點在那裡？

In the democratic society, the participants of the democratic process are the people with a certain level of wealth. For others, they are busy all day long to put food on the table, roof above their head, clothes on their back.
War is the best way, and fastest way of destruction. Destruction costs money. After destruction, re-build will cost money. The wealthy participants are linked to the big businesses. It is the example of moenies stay inside the circle. Create wars (they call conflicts in the country) and create business opportunities. There are not that many Lincolns, FDRs, anymore. The president does not write his own speeches anymore. This is how you judge the quality of the president.
